Terms of Use

The terms governing your use of OffGrid Power Hub. Read before you build anything based on what you find here.

Last updated: April 29, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of offgridpowerhub.com and any related content, products, tools, or services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by OffGrid Power Hub (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By accessing or using any part of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not access or use the Services. Please read these Terms carefully before proceeding.

1. Acceptance of terms

Your access to and use of the Services is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Affiliate Disclaimer, our Cookie Policy, and any other operating rules, policies, or notices we publish from time to time. These additional documents are incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Description of services

OffGrid Power Hub is an information website. The Services consist of articles, guides, product reviews, calculators, downloadable resources, and email newsletters covering off-grid solar power, energy independence, water systems, food storage, security, and related topics.

What we are not:

  • We are not a solar installation company. We do not perform installations, dispatch crews, or provide on-site services.
  • We are not licensed electricians, contractors, or engineers. The information on this site does not constitute professional advice for any specific installation, project, or property.
  • We do not sell physical products directly. Products mentioned on the Services are sold by third-party merchants, and we may earn affiliate commissions when you purchase through our links.
  • We do not provide product support, consultations, or troubleshooting. For technical questions, installation help, warranty claims, return inquiries, shipping status, or any other product-specific support regarding any product mentioned on the Services, contact the product manufacturer or the merchant who sold it (Amazon, ClickBank, My Patriot Supply, or other retailer). We do not respond to product support requests by email, phone, or any other channel.
  • We do not offer phone support, support calls, on-site visits, or one-on-one consultations. The Services consist of published content available to all visitors. We do not provide individualized advice, custom system designs, project consulting, or paid consultations.

3. Educational content disclaimer — important

The information, guides, calculators, and recommendations on the Services are provided for educational and informational purposes only. They are not professional advice for any specific installation, property, or use case.

Solar power systems, battery banks, electrical work, and grid-tied installations involve high-voltage DC, large stored electrical energy, and potential exposure to fire, electrocution, and serious property damage if installed or maintained incorrectly. Mistakes are not minor inconveniences. They can cause fires, severe injury, and death.

You are responsible for determining whether any information, equipment recommendation, or technique presented on the Services is appropriate for your specific situation, property, and skill level. You agree to consult with licensed electricians, contractors, engineers, code officials, or other qualified professionals before undertaking any work that involves electrical systems, gas connections, structural modifications, water systems, or any activity that could result in injury or property damage.

ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND RELEASE OF CLAIMS. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, by accessing or using the Services, you expressly assume all risk associated with any work you perform, equipment you purchase, installation you undertake, or decisions you make based on information found on the Services. You agree to release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue OffGrid Power Hub, its owners, employees, agents, suppliers, licensors, and contributors from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action arising out of or related to loss, damage, injury, or death sustained by you or any third party in connection with your use of the Services or any reliance you place on information obtained through the Services. This assumption of risk and release applies to claims based on negligence, breach of contract, breach of warranty, strict liability, or any other legal theory, except for liability that cannot be waived under applicable law.

We make no warranty that any information presented on the Services is current, complete, accurate for your jurisdiction, or compliant with applicable electrical codes, building codes, permitting requirements, or safety standards in your location.

When information on the Services advises you to consult a licensed professional, verify against local code, or obtain permits, treat that as a real instruction, not a liability cover. The Services are not a substitute for the manufacturer’s installation manual, local electrical code, professional inspection, or your own judgment.

4. Intellectual property

All content on the Services — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, videos, audio, software, calculators, downloadable resources, the Wattson character and imagery, and the overall site design — is the property of OffGrid Power Hub or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not transfer to you any ownership of or rights in our intellectual property or that of our licensors. All right, title, and interest remain with OffGrid Power Hub and its licensors.

5. Permitted use

You may:

  • Access and read content on the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use.
  • Share links to articles and resources on social media, in personal email, or in other non-commercial contexts.
  • Quote brief excerpts of content with proper attribution and a link back to the original source on offgridpowerhub.com.

You may not:

  • Republish, reproduce, distribute, or display substantial portions of content on any other website or in any commercial context without prior written permission.
  • Use automated tools, scrapers, bots, or AI training systems to collect, copy, or extract content from the Services in bulk.
  • Use content from the Services to train machine learning models, large language models, or AI systems of any kind without prior written permission.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Services, related systems, or networks.
  • Use the Services in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with OffGrid Power Hub or impersonate the Wattson character or other identifying elements of the Services.

6. Affiliate disclosure

The Services contain affiliate links to products and services offered by third parties including Amazon Associates, ClickBank, and My Patriot Supply. When you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you.

For full details on our affiliate practices, how we select products, and our editorial independence, see the Affiliate Disclaimer.

7. Third-party services and links

The Services may include links to third-party websites, products, services, or applications (“Third-Party Services”). Use of any Third-Party Service is at your own risk. We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for the content, privacy practices, warranties, performance, or availability of any Third-Party Service.

We are not responsible or liable for any loss or damage caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with your use of any Third-Party Service. Your interactions with Third-Party Services are governed by the terms and policies of those third parties, not these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS. OFFGRID POWER HUB AND ITS SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS, AND CONTRIBUTORS DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We make no warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components. We make no warranty regarding the accuracy, completeness, reliability, currency, or applicability of any information, recommendation, calculation, or downloadable resource provided through the Services.

You acknowledge that any reliance on information obtained through the Services is at your sole risk, and that you are solely responsible for any consequences of such reliance, including but not limited to damage to your property, injury, financial loss, or violation of applicable codes or regulations.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL OFFGRID POWER HUB, ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, LICENSORS, OR CONTRIBUTORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, PROPERTY DAMAGE, PERSONAL INJURY, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF, OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE, THE SERVICES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT, IF ANY, YOU PAID TO OFFGRID POWER HUB FOR ACCESS TO THE SERVICES IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. BECAUSE THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, THIS AMOUNT IS GENERALLY ZERO.

WAIVER OF PERSONAL INJURY AND PROPERTY DAMAGE CLAIMS. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you specifically waive any claims for personal injury, bodily harm, death, property damage, fire, electrocution, or any other loss or damage arising from or related to any work you perform, any equipment you install, any installation procedure you follow, or any safety decision you make based on information obtained through the Services. You acknowledge that electrical work, battery systems, gas connections, and related off-grid installations are inherently dangerous activities, and that you undertake any such work at your sole risk.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, the waiver of certain claims, or the limitation of liability for personal injury. To the extent such exclusions, waivers, or limitations are not enforceable in your jurisdiction, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, and any provision found unenforceable shall be modified only to the minimum extent necessary as set forth in the severability provision of these Terms.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless OffGrid Power Hub, its owners, employees, agents, suppliers, licensors, and contributors from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to:

  • Your access to or use of the Services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party right, including any intellectual property or privacy right
  • Any work you perform, equipment you install, or decisions you make based on information obtained from the Services

11. Copyright and DMCA notices

Reasons for termination may include, but are not limited to, violation of these Terms, abusive behavior, or circumstances that warrant restricting access.

You may stop using the Services at any time. If you wish to be removed from our email list, you may unsubscribe through the link in any email or by contacting us at support@offgridpowerhub.com.

Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnification, and governing law — shall survive any termination of your access to the Services.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

Except as required by applicable mandatory law, these Terms and any access to or use of the Services are governed by the laws of the United States Virgin Islands, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

The proper venue for any disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services shall be the courts located in the United States Virgin Islands, including the Superior Court of the Virgin Islands and the U.S. District Court of the Virgin Islands. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts and waive any objection based on inconvenient forum.

14. Changes to these Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, post a notice on the Services or notify subscribers by email.

Continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. If you disagree with any changes, you should stop using the Services.

15. General provisions

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable while preserving its intent.

No waiver

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. Any waiver must be in writing and signed by an authorized representative of OffGrid Power Hub.

Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Affiliate Disclaimer, Cookie Policy, DMCA Policy, and any other policies referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and OffGrid Power Hub regarding your use of the Services and supersede any prior agreements between you and us regarding the Services.
